Thought you may like to see some pics of my current EDC....
The blade is about 70mm and is A2 with a gunkote finish. The Scales are G10.
I just love this knife. It's very different from the sort of thing I would normally go for but as an every day work horse it's hard to beat.
Enjoy!

Just a few pics of the newest and smallest of the Spyderco budget lineup. Same G10, 8Cr13MoV steel, full flat grind, jimping and milled liners that you are used to with the Tenacious, Persistence and Resilience. Tip up, tip down, left and right. All for maybe $28 plus shipping. Good stuff. Mine came from gpkinves.com, which I figure I can mention as they are a paying BF dealer.
In my view, the Ambitious with its 2.25" blade and 3 19/32 OAL is about as small as I can go while still comfortably opening with one hand. Solid lockup with no wiggle on my example. For EDC, this one should handle just about anything that its larger siblings could handle, short of slicing through a wheel of cheese or whatnot where length comes into play. But it should excel at opening boxes, clam shell packages, zip ties and the like. And a smaller blade is just much handier for many of these tasks. I've been moving my rotation in that direction as of late.
Top to bottom: Ambitious, Persistence, Tenacious and Resilience.
Tenacious and Ambitious.

I have a LNIB Spyderench T01PS from Spyderco. It is the now discontinued, made in Taiwan version. The current offering is the Byrdrench, made in China.
I am the second owner of this great tool and have never used it. I don't see any evidence of use from the previous owner. The box shows wear from storage. Includes the Spyderench with all bits, nice sheath, instructions, and box.
Yours for $85 shipped in the CONUS only. I will pay the PayPal fees. I am not looking for trades at this time. Thanks for looking.

Pimp your SRM!
Pimp your SRM!: "
I can't get over these SanRenMu knives;.like many of my fellow BBer's, I've grown accustomed to parting with large sums of money for quality knives. Thinking that one or two hundred pounds is par for the course for a quality folder.
Now, don't get me wrong; I'm not about to say that the new generation of Chinese folders coming into the country are going to replace your Shings, Sebbies and Fallknivens at less than 1/20th of the cost, BUT these knives pound for pound are impossible to fault.
Take for instance the humble SRM 939 (NOT a small knife!), available from Jon HatethatGiraffe for a mere £10ish (Some of us have paid that for a skull bead, or a lanyard)
Pic shamelessly plagiarised from a more talented individual...
It's made from 8Cr13MoV, blade steel of Spyderco Tenacious and Persistance fame (and a host of other brands). The fit and finish are the equal, if not superior to, folders costing MANY times more.
3mm flat ground blade with perfectly matched bevels and no blade play, these come to you shaving sharp. And what's more; because they're cheap as chips - You can play with them fearlessly! ;)
Drop point, reinforced tip:
KenOnion-leekalike:
Now, I must have lavished an average of 5 minutes of my life on each of these knives, and that includes making good with some 400 grit on the spine so you can't tell it's been 'fettled'.
These mods are pretty subtle and not time consuming and just might turn an inexpensive folder in just what you're looking for, the uppermost is a handy food prep knife in a camp enviroment and the 'Leekielikey' is about as grand a knife as you could want for paunching rabbits; use it, then wash it in a pudldle...
Go ahead and have a go, at these prices it would be rude not to. How about a 'Pimp my SRM league'?
;)
Incidentally; My thanks to Jon for being such a gent in going the whole 9 yards to get knives posted off ASAP, and The prices.... lol

Andre van Heerden - Model 25: "
Something new from Andre, a great design that Andre and Andre (Thorburn) brought to me at Blade Show last year, and then updated the design this year. They now include IKBS and are really fun little flippers...not like you are used to flipping, this done using the index finger on the serrations.
Orange G10 - $495
LSCF - $525
Black and Blue G10 - $495

This knife is LNIB, the clip has been polished. The blade is perfection as is the G10. Action is smooth and the blade is dead on balls centered. Perfect example of this model.
I'm looking for highend folding knives. Other Spydercos, Benchmades, CRK users, and Emerson's would be ideal. Some examples:
Ed Schempp designed Spydies
Sages
Millies
GB's
Carbon fiber or Ti anything
Osborne designed Benchmades
Ti monolocks
Satin PE non chisel Emersons
Horsemans
Cqc-14
ZT's
Highend Kershaws
Used CRK
Make me offers! I'm always thrilled to be offered something unexpected.
