Best Balisong Ever

Best Balisong Ever: "
I've been trying to get my grubby hands on a GA or a GAII for years now. Finally got the opportunity to buy a GAII, which I have a slight preference for over the full-size model just based on the aesthetics of the proportions. This one is extra cool in that it has a clip, which I don't think was standard on most. Anyways, this one needs a light cleaning as it was carried, although not used. But I figured I would snap a quick shot just so I could rave on it.

This is the first time I've had the chance to hold or flip an Ikoma bali. After handling this guy, I can say that to me this is the best balisong ever made. At least among balis I've handled. The ergonomics of this knife are perfect. From the index finger groove underneath to the thumb ramp over top, this knife fits your hand unlike any bali I've owned. Ikoma's design is really well thought out. The irregular shape of the tang has it's wisdom. The top ear is just ahead of the lower ear in order to allow thumb to be slightly forward relative to index finger. Even the clip is integrated into a well-thought out design. Pinky finger gets to rest just behind the top of the clip on the slant, which still gives grip a sublime comfort.

The handles look really cool and the blade grind is awesome. The tension on the latch/handles is perfect. The handles are original, but do not impede flipping: opening are kept small enough, and edges are rounded off. I could say more about this knife, but I'll leave it at that. This knife really impresses me all-around. Now to go looking for it's big brother . . .
